What information we handle, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Findlan Inc. (“Findlan,” “we,” “us”) operates a construction loan management platform used by lenders and the stakeholders on their construction projects — borrowers, builders, subcontractors, inspectors, and project staff — along with Findlan Inspection (“the App”), a tool for professional inspectors to document construction-loan inspections in the field. This policy explains what information we handle, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions about the App? Email inspections@findlanassociates.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. The email address you use to sign in, and your authentication credentials. Inspector accounts are provisioned by the lending or inspection-management organization you work with; there is no public sign-up.
- Inspection content. Photos you capture during an inspection and the inspection details tied to your assignments (such as the property and draw being inspected).
- Location.With your permission, the App uses your device’s location to center the map when you set your service-area “home base” and to label that area. Your home-base location is stored on your device.
- Device permissions. Camera, photo library, and location access are used only to provide the features above.
We do notuse advertising identifiers, serve ads, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate the inspection service: to show your assigned inspections, let you capture and submit inspection photos, and manage billing for completed work.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide a mobile phone number and agree to receive texts, Findlan sends transactional text notifications when an action on one of your projects needs your attention — for example, a draw request awaiting your approval or a lien waiver ready for your signature. Message frequency varies with project activity; a typical active project generates a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
How opt-in consent is collected — including the exact consent notice shown in the product and the verbal opt-in script — is documented at app.findlanassociates.com/sms-opt-in.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and get assistance by replying HELP or contacting us at contact@findlanassociates.com. Opting out of texts does not affect project email notifications or your account.
No mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except for the messaging service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.
How information is shared
- Service provider.We use Supabase to host the App’s database, authentication, and file storage on our behalf.
- Your organization. Inspections you submit (including photos and results) are shared with the lending or inspection-management organization that assigned them.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Data retention
Inspection records and photos are retained for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet the assigning organization’s record-keeping requirements.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and access to stored data is restricted to authorized accounts.
Your choices and rights
You can manage camera, photo, and location permissions at any time in iOS Settings › Findlan Inspection. To request access to or deletion of your personal data, email inspections@findlanassociates.com. Because accounts are provisioned by your organization, some requests may be directed to them.
Children
The App is intended for professional use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
