What the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Findlan Inspection (“the App”) is a tool for professional inspectors to document construction-loan inspections in the field. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App is provided by Findlan Inc. (“we,” “us”). Questions? Email inspections@findlanassociates.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. The email address you use to sign in, and your authentication credentials. Inspector accounts are provisioned by the lending or inspection-management organization you work with; there is no public sign-up.
- Inspection content. Photos you capture during an inspection and the inspection details tied to your assignments (such as the property and draw being inspected).
- Location.With your permission, the App uses your device’s location to center the map when you set your service-area “home base” and to label that area. Your home-base location is stored on your device.
- Device permissions. Camera, photo library, and location access are used only to provide the features above.
We do notuse advertising identifiers, serve ads, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate the inspection service: to show your assigned inspections, let you capture and submit inspection photos, and manage billing for completed work.
How information is shared
- Service provider.We use Supabase to host the App’s database, authentication, and file storage on our behalf.
- Your organization. Inspections you submit (including photos and results) are shared with the lending or inspection-management organization that assigned them.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Data retention
Inspection records and photos are retained for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet the assigning organization’s record-keeping requirements.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and access to stored data is restricted to authorized accounts.
Your choices and rights
You can manage camera, photo, and location permissions at any time in iOS Settings › Findlan Inspection. To request access to or deletion of your personal data, email inspections@findlanassociates.com. Because accounts are provisioned by your organization, some requests may be directed to them.
Children
The App is intended for professional use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
